September 28th, 2018 by

Strathmore is a multi-disciplinary performing arts center in North Bethesda, Maryland. The center consists of the Music Center at Strathmore, the smaller Mansion at Strathmore, and AMP by Strathmore — a live music club in the Pike & Rose neighborhood. Here’s what’s on the event schedule during September and October.

Diana Ross

Fans of Diana Ross will not want to miss this legendary diva of music when she performs on September 25 and 26 at the Music Center. Come and sing along to all her popular hits like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “I Will Survive,” and “Missing You.” Both shows start at 8 p.m. with tickets ranging from $69 to $239.

Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra

East meets west when the renowned Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra plays at Strathmore on October 10. Traditional Chinese instruments like the pipa and two-string erhu merge beautifully with classical strings, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. Tickets cost from $35 up to $105 for orchestra tier premium seats.

Raul Midón

Raul Midón is a talented Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and guitarist who will be entertaining audiences at AMP by Strathmore with his unique style that blends jazz and flamenco. As a one-man band, he amazes audiences by creating the rhythm and percussion sounds of a full band. For only $32 to $37, you can catch Raul’s show at AMP on October 12 at 8 p.m.

Strathmore has a long lineup of shows and performance throughout the year. Located just off the Capital Beltway (I-495), getting there will be easy and worth it.
