Kensington Farmer’s Market

Head out on a cool Saturday morning to pick up local produce, amazing baked goods, and other delicious treats at the Kensington Farmer’s Market. Representing the best of the locavore movement, you’ll be delighted by the variety of goodies that are made so close to home.

Located just outside Bethesda, the market’s held at Kensington’s Historic Train Station every Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and is located at 10417 Howard Ave.

“Gem of the Ocean” at the Round House Theatre

Support local theater by enjoying August Wilson’s ambitious and moving play “Gem of the Ocean” at Bethesda’s Round House Theatre.

“Gem of the Ocean” opens November 28 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices vary based on your seating choice and are available online. The Round House Theatre is located at 4545 East-West Hwy. in Bethesda.

Ina Garten at Strathmore

On November 1 at 8 p.m., bestselling cookbook author, Ina Garten, will share wisdom and stories from her newest book, “Cook Like a Pro.” The reading will take place in the Strathmore Music Center at 5301 Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda. Tickets are available on Strathmore’s website and range from $55 to $85.
